Billing and Insurance FAQ

1️⃣ Do you accept insurance?Osprey Mental Health currently operates as a self-pay practice, meaning we are not contracted with insurance companies. This allows us to provide personalized, confidential care without the limitations imposed by insurance networks.

2️⃣ Can I get reimbursed by my insurance company?Yes — in many cases, you can. After your appointment, we can provide a superbill, which is a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
Reimbursement rates vary by plan, so check with your insurance provider for details.

3️⃣ What payment methods do you accept? We accept major credit and debit cards, including HSA and FSA cards.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe via our HIPAA-compliant partner platforms (Jane or Klarity).

5️⃣ What is your cancellation policy? We understand that life happens. Appointments canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance will not be charged.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of your appointment time may be subject to a late cancellation fee.

2️⃣ What types of medication can Osprey providers prescribe? Our licensed clinicians can prescribe most medications used to treat anxiety, depression, ADHD, and addiction-related concerns.
Controlled substances (like stimulant medications for ADHD) are prescribed only when clinically indicated and always in accordance with state and federal telehealth prescribing laws.

We’ll work with you to develop a long-term treatment plan that includes regular check-ins, dose adjustments if needed, and coordination of care with other healthcare professionals when appropriate.

Your treatment plan may include referrals for counseling, nutrition, sleep optimization, and mindfulness strategies.

7️⃣ How quickly can I expect results?Everyone’s response to treatment is different. Some patients notice improvement within a few weeks, while others may take longer. Your provider will discuss realistic expectations and guide you through each step of your progress.

8️⃣ Can I contact my provider between visits?Yes — you can message your provider securely through the Jane or Klarity patient portal for non-urgent questions or follow-up concerns. For urgent matters, always call 911 or 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline).
